Program Operations

Martin Krongold is a professionally trained public finance manager whose career interests have always focused on applying public resources to critical public policy problems in urban communities. Much of this time has been spent on writing and researching government proposals, and then assisting not-for-profit companies implement them employing community residents.

In my more recent role as the Chief Operating Officer for Programs and Housing at BVSJ, I try to manage programs so staff understands performance goals, measures results via accepted and newly developed performance indicators, and seeks out new funding opportunities that maintain BVSJ’s community relevance. I firmly believe in the concept of applying resources to local problems, so local talent can struggle to address issues related to poverty, injustice, inequality, and lack of opportunity.
