Because Every Veteran Deserves a Fair Start ❤️ Richard had the skills. He just didn’t have a place to start. After serving eight years in the Army, he returned home determined to rebuild his life. But like so many veterans, the transition came with unexpected challenges: unstable housing, job uncertainty, and the weight of starting from scratch. When he connected with Black Veterans for Social Justice, everything shifted. He found support, training, stability, and—most importantly—hope. Today, Richard is in a stable home, working full-time, and helping other veterans find their footing. Giving Tuesday is tomorrow, and we want to share a quick reminder of why your support matters. Every day, veterans across our city are navigating one of the hardest transitions of their lives—people like Richard, who came home ready to rebuild but faced challenges no one should face alone. Through housing support, career services, mental wellness resources, and community, he found a path forward. Your generosity is what makes these turning points possible. Tomorrow, we’re asking our community to stand with us and ensure more veterans receive the support they deserve. Even a single gift can create stability, open doors, and change the direction of someone’s life. If you’d like to make your Giving Tuesday gift early, tap here → YES ❤️ |
